    I will never vote for Obama because I am so conservative. However, I will rate him much higher than before just because he had the guts to kill Bin Laden. There was a lot at stake when Obama gave the orders to cross into Pakistan w/o the country’s permission and to kill Bin Laden. Things could have gone terribly wrong, but they went well, and our military succeeded in killing the most wanted man in the world.

    I will give credit to the president for this no doubt. Because had it gone wrong, I would have blamed him. It certainly was a bold move to kill Bin Laden, and our entire country is glad that the son of a b***h will never take another breath. Instead, he will rot in hell with the devil and all the other filth and scum who have preceded him in death.

    Some people prefer to get up early in the morning and start the day’s work. Others prefer to get up later in the day and work until late at night. Which do you prefer, uses specific reason and examples to support your choice.

    Many people work in the morning is like a routine while other people wait until night to go out to do it, that means everybody have different kinds of work in order to the time, I am agree with working in the morning then I going to have the night free to do whatever I want and take a rest If I am tired of course, it is important to point out that the time of work depend of the kind of job that you like it, I means I my case working earlier is better because I like the job´ S office because I would have enough time at night to do my things, and I am the person who prefer to sleep at night, mainly I cannot stand working at night.

    When you are working earlier, (could be an office job) you are be able to make you own plans whether you want to go out at night to dinner with your friends, relatives and your girlfriend, If you have children you can share with their when you arrive at home, mainly you have enough time to do everything you like it.

    For the other hand I am the person who enjoy sleeping at night, there is nothing better that when you are tired lay in your bed for all the night, in fact this is healthy because people need sleep at least 8 hours at night, in addiction the only fact of sleep at night depend your healthy, behavior because somebody who does not sleep is a fact this person is not going to be happy at all, and also reduce the level of stress for that I advise to sleep as long as you can.

    Nevertheless working at night or earlier, depend the kind of work and also the kind of personality of the people, how I enjoy the night for sleep and also to do my hobbies, I don t have any stress and I feel healthy at all, mainly the best job for me is in the morning.

    Q: Some people prefer to spend their free time outdoor. Other people prefer to spend their leisure time indoors. Would you prefer to be outside or would you prefer to be inside for your leisure activities? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.

    Although, we can’t always spend our time outside, because of the weather conditions, I personally prefer more to spend my leisure time outside. I have luck because I can train capoeira inside and outside, but when ever I can I’m training capoeira outside. I love to train with my friends outside because it is better to be on the fresh air and under the sun. Other reason why it is better to be outside because we don’t have to spend our money on sports hall, we just have to find an empty space outside.

    First off all, I love spending my free time outside, especially training capoeira. After a long day at the university or at work, there is nothing better than to spend time on a fresh air with your friends doing what you love. I don’t feel that same good energy while we are training in sport hall. There is never enough fresh air, and after 30 minutes of training we can’t breathe. Addition to that, our sport hall is very small because there is not enough space for everyone, so lots of people are not training.

    Secondly, even though our sport hall is very small, we have to pay a lot of money for that hall. When we are outside we just need to find some empty space on some playground, forest or sandy beach. When we are outside we can save a lot of money, and with that money for sports hall we can buy for example, some instruments for capoeira or to go on some excursion. While we are outside energy is always much better because more people are training.

    In conclusion, training outside it has more advantages than inside. I can spend more quality time with all my friends in group, and we can all save more money for something that we need more.

    Q:Is it more important for a government to spend money on public transportation (buses, subways, etc.) or on roads?

    There is unresolved problem what is more important for the city- quality public transportation or well developed highways and roads. Although, these two segments are mutually related, but my opinion is that government should invest more money in public transportation. Investing in public transportation, government will have fast and safe transportation. Also, pollution is enormously increasing in past few years, so with modern public transportation pollution will surely decrease.
    First, main reason why our roads are overcrowded is because nowadays almost every family have al least one car. That is why we spend an hour or more every day during the rush ours in our cars. Cities with modern public transportation can reduce this problem. If the city has modern subways or buses, people will surely choose to go to work by public transportation. For example, before I used to go to work by my car, and I needed almost one hour and half to get to work and the same time to get back home. Last year government in my city decided to invest in new trains. Now I need only 45 minutes to get to my work, and what is most important I save a lot of money on gas, and while I’m in train I do quality things such as, reading books or preparing for my work day. Secondly, people are safer while they are driving in public transportation because professional drivers are driving them. Addition to that, many surveys have showed that tired people who are driving cars after work are responsible for many accidents.
    We are all witnesses that pollution of air has reached the critical point. If government wants to stop polluting the air, in that great amount, government must invest in public transportation. My belief is, that amount of care on the roads and pollution degree will significantly decrease, if every government invest in modern public transportation.

    In conclusion, all above mentioned examples are showing that investing in public transportation can greatly improve our lives. Every government which cares about people’s safety, their time and money will invest in modern and quality public transportation. Also, investing in public transportation government can contribute in saving our planet Earth.

    Opening a restaurant in my neighborhood is a great idea. There is no other restaurant nearby my neighborhood, so having a new place to go will be refreshing. People will have a good place to socialize with their friends and family and to eat a quality food. What is most important new working places will be open.
    First off all, I support opening a restaurant in my neighborhood because having a restaurant near, will give me opportunity to socialize more with my friends and family. Before I had to spent a lot of money on gas to go on the other part of the town to socialize and eat quality food with my friends. Also, I will eat more often quality prepared food, how I’m a student and I’m living alone, usually I don’t have time for cooking quality food.
    In addition, new restaurant will offer new working places for people in my neighborhood. Because of the global recession this is a rear thing.     Today is very important to be educated. If we want to our society to grow and develop, most of the people must invest in their education. There are different ways to make that possible. For example, some people study Medicine so they can help people to be healthy and safe all the time. Other may attend school to become Teachers, and they can help others to understand how education is important thing in everybody’s life.

    First off all, people attend school to study Medicine. A student studying Medicine can learn everything about human body, all different sickness and in the end how to help a sick people. Beside all that, student needs to be a hard worker and a caring person. In a addition to that, student who is prepared to work hard to help all sick people, will study to become a doctor.

    Second, students who are studying to become Teachers want to be good in conveying their knowledge, in speaking in front of the audience, and what is most important that they want to help others to understand that education is very important thing. My friend’s parents are teachers, so they raised him since he was little to be a teacher when he grew up. For that reason, he already has all qualities to become a respectful teacher.

    First, teachers with about twenty five students in a classroom, doesn’t have time to explain or to answer on every student’s question. My opinion is, if a student doesn’t understand a big part of one subject, he or she should ask a help from a private tutor. Private tutor can dedicate to one student and has time to explain and work on specific subject with his or her student.

    When I was in high school, we had one teacher who used to answer on every question when some of the students asked her. If only one student didn’t understand one part of the subject, she would stay on that part the whole class. That was good for that specific student, but not for the whole class. In addition to that, in the end of the school year we didn’t finish all chapters in the book.

    Therefore, my friend wasn’t so good in math. That is why he took a private class’s with a coach. He had private class’s everyday after school. His coach helped him to understand previous chapters and also things which we didn’t learn in our class. At the beginning of the school year my friend was the worst in our class, but in the end he was the best in math. He also decided to study math.

    In conclusion, private teachers are the best option when one is not good in some subject. When a student needs private teacher, he or she is not just helping himself or herself to become better. Student is helping his or her teacher and classmates to progress and to score better results on the tests.

    Coaches have the same influence on the young people life like family or teachers do. Lots of people will not agree with that statement. But trough sport we can learn how to deal with obstacles in our life. Coaches are not just training students, they have to be parents, teachers, psychologist and friends to their students.

    I used to train athletic professionally. My teammates and I have spent a lot of time with our coach. That is why I can say he had a big influence on me in that period. We were training every day, and my coach gave us different exercises to prepare us for competitions. He always knew what everyone in our club need to become better. Because he was a very good coach everyone in our club had very good results.

    From training athletics I learned to deal with obstacles in my life. When I had hard time during the season, coach always helped me to pass my crises. In these situations he had to be also a good psychologist. After that every time when I have a hard time in my life, I remember what my coach used to tell me. Sports also help me to be detriment and a hard worker. Which help me to finish my university and to be good at my work.

To the person who is intending to enter to a college or university, it is important to know and understand the foreign language in a high level.     There is nothing that uneducated person can teach an educated person.

    Educated and uneducated persons are the Earth and the sky. There even doesn’t need to compare them. I disagree with this statement. Never uneducated person has taught educated. The reasons for that are being narrow minded, having uncompleted thoughts and the shortages of necessary information for whom they are trying to teach.
    To begin with, person who never has been at school can’t teach somebody. People who never read books, haven’t acquainted with the famous and classical literature, who don’t know about moral, life values can’t bring a well mannered person, because they are narrow minded. A kind of these people never heard and can’t imagine what it is! They need to be educated firstly by themselves and improve their own point of view. There is one aphorism: “it is easy to obey for a wise person, than think about advice of uneducated person”.
    Secondly, a kind of person who is not educated, can give a wrong or uncompleted thoughts. They can’t formulate their own thoughts in a good and well way, because they can’t think out it wholly. Acts of that event can bring about destroying or results in unexpected ways.
    Thirdly, uneducated person might be a source of crucial disruption. A lacking of important information can be a resource of serious happenings.     Many people have learned a foreign language in their own country; others have learned a foreign language in the country in which it is spoken. Which is better? Give the advantages of each and support your viewpoint.

    Learning foreign language is new experience for people. Now because of global economy, we are getting more opportunities to learn new language. Multilingual language learning is a skill. Childhood is the right time to learn different language. In adulthood we need to put more effort to learn a new language. We can learn a foreign language either in our own country, or in the country where it is spoken. There are some merits if we learn it in our own country, like we feel more comfortable. On the other hand, if we learn it in the country where it is spoken, we can learn the accent from direct communication with the local people and our pronunciation become better. According to my opinion it is better to learn in the country where it is spoken.

    First of all, I like to discuss why it is better to study a foreign language in the country where it is spoken. We are getting more opportunities to interact with the local people. In addition, this interaction help us to improve our pronounciation. There is an old cliche in our language- when a stone is in touch with a jasmine flower after a while the stone will smell like the jasmine. Let’s say myself as an example. I am trying to learn English.I know how to speak English well in my country.I learned it in my country, so that I have the accent of my language and I can’t improve it, because I am not getting an opportunity to speak with native speakers in my country. But now I am in U.S.A. I myself is feeling my English is improved a lot. I understood how here people sound differt letters,the need to tell words clearly and the importants of intonation. I was not aware of all such aspects when I was in my country.

    Next, the advantage of learing new language in our own country. We feel more comfortable to learn a new language in our contry. Even though we are not good in the new language, we can still communicate with our people in our mother tongue.Since we are all in the same pond, even the teacher can undestand how to introduce a new concept in a new language. We don’t feel awaked to ask some dough to the teacher in the class. Case in point, it was a new information for me ” Throw up” means vomiting in U.S. If I ask this question in a class in U.S, may be my classmates will tease me. They will think I don’t even know the meaning of such a simple word. But if I am in my own country I don’t feel awaked to ask such a question, since it will be a new information for everyone.

    In conclusion, I feel there are many merits of learning a new language in our own country and even in a country where it is spoken.

    People do consider education as a fundamental part of their society especially in today’s world of global competition among nations;nevertheless,when ever we are asked to decide whether education should be provided to the general public,it opens up some kind of debate among the tax payers regarding who should qualify for a free education and who not. The question, who should qualify for access to a higher education is very challenging based on which perspective one is focusing his or her reasons. Although some people might prefer the access of higher education to be reserved only for good students, However, i Personally believe that it is for the interest for a nation to provide higher education ;that is ,college or university education to all of its citezens because ,it will increase the number of littrate people ,more efficient work force, and also provide the tool for that nation to compete with other nation.

The reasons for these are: it has four sections which adequately measure a student’s ability, it probes a person’s logical system of thought, helps to learn the English language in a wide range.
    To begin with, the TOEFL tests all crucial skills of a student. To the person who is intending to enter to a college or university, it is important to know and understand the foreign language in a high level. The future student must be able to hear and understand all materials correctly, to be able to answer for the asked questions and develop whole educating process successfully. For these reasons, the TOEFL has several sections such as reading, which includes 3 reading passages, the total number of the questions 38-39.     The reading assumption of this text includes advantages of a global team. In the passage is given an example of a global contact between two teams. The first is from Silicon Valley, which has time difference 5 hours, the second is India. They efficiently replace each others operations and benefit of their collaborative work on the same project. According to the listening passage, professor gave negative sides of this global connection. For instance, he used as an example the United States and India, they have difference in time about 12 hours and 30 minutes. Moreover, he proved his opinion with personal experience. He explained that one day the team from India didn’t send needed information to the correct address. The whole team was required to utilize a lot of effort to find them. The reasons of these incidents were a time difference. This vent happened because nobody can answer and operate this information on time. When the US team works, another team from India is sleeping. The another example, which is explained by the professor was about information receiving process from India to the US, the colleges from US had to receive information in 6 p.m and an Indian team had to send it at 6.30 a.m, which doesn’t make a sense. Also, professor stated, although their Indian colleagues are appreciated with a work system, for the US team it is not really convenient.

    To begin with, music brings such a wonderful life which makes people healthy. This is the main reason for listening music. Recent studies shown that people who are listening music every day will become healthy. Music releases stress which is the main cause of many diseases. For example my children who messed up everything in home made me mad. I was supposed to yell at them but I did not. I did not want to get anger at the same time I wanted to release my stress. Since I turned on music my stress was gone. In addition, many studies proved that music alleviates pain. People whoever suffering from pain they do not need to take any pills for pain. Fewer pills make them healthy.

    In addition to the previous point, music plays an important role for entertaining people. Different types of music which help people to get relaxed. Melody soothes people’s feeling. Pop and jazz could make people to dance. All the parties especially birth day parties could not even have fun without jazz or rap. Music also entertains people if they are alone. For example, when I was a little girl I was staying alone because my mom and dad were working. I had been listening music whenever I got bored.     Some people prefer to get up early in the morning to go for a walk or to do exercise which makes them more energetic and healthy. It also helps the students to study their lessons in the early morning with fresh mind. But some people prefer to do all their work and sleep late at night, and get up later in the day after a good night sleep. I prefer to get up early in the morning. Because it makes my mind and body fresh, have time to read newspapers and do cooking.

    First, getting up early in the morning and doing exercise makes our mind and body fresh. By doing yoga or going for a walk makes the day brighter. I get up at 6 a.m., and do yoga. This yoga and the basic exercises make my body more flexible and mentally active. Therefore, I plan for the day’s work and complete my tasks on time. The breathing exercises in yoga help me to be free from diseases , healthy and fit.

    Second, I can read newspapers and watch news in TV by getting up early in the morning. By reading news in the morning, I am aware of the happenings in and around the world. I can watch local news in the television about the weather and traffic which alarms me to complete my house hold work earlier and be punctual to the job. For example, my friend gets up late in the morning and has no time to watch news, was caught up in the traffic.     Third, cooking fresh food for breakfast and lunch keeps the family healthy. Case in point, I work in a pharmacy from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. I get up early in the morning at 5a.m., make breakfast and lunch. Though I can eat pizza and sandwiches in the restaurant nearby, I prefer fresh cooked food. I pack food for my children and husband which makes them to work hard.     Firs of all, I want to compare parent’s way of life and our. I think in that time people were more moderate and polite, than the youth people of today. They were in that breeding process, which ladies and men are a little bit shy and embarrassed to kiss in front of crowded people or to impress their feelings directly. But today, almost everywhere you can see pairs or couples who kiss in front of all people. Moreover, in parent’s period of life, bisexuals were little, than today. In our time the number of single sexes people, who live together is increasing.

    Personally, it is my convinction that land should be save for endangered species for three main reasons;it will help to prevent the extinction of these animal,will help to maintain the natural food chain of life, and will help to maintain a stable ecosystem.
    To begin with,when we use land alloted for endangered species, to construct homes , industry and farming,we do put a lot of stress on those endangered animals who enhabit that area. this stress could transform into illness that could cause the death of these animals which will eventually reduce the population of these protected species.
    In the long these animals will be un able to reproduce because of the environmental stress inflicted in their natural habitat. this in the long run could bring about the extinction of these endangered species.
    In addition,some of these human activities could suppressed the natural food chain of nature.when humans carry out these kind of activity, it also distroy other creatures that are part of the food chain for both humans and these endangered animals. for instance when humans are developing a new land , they destroy natural water fountains which supply water to both the vegitation and the species that live in that area .By cutting the supply of water, plants couldn’t survive and therefore those endangered animals who live on plants;furthermore,there will be no more plants to extract the carbon dioxide we produce from our activities.so by taking away wter supply , we inteerrupted two vital process in the food chain.we could imigine the cinsequences living in a world saturated with carbon dioxide.
    Lastly,excessive exploitation of our environment could put both humans and the endandered species at risk.when humans construct big cities and industries, these lead to the production of toxic material from our activities like some of the fertilizers they use in the fields. these substances are both toxic to human and to these endangered species.Moreover,we could end up eating some of these poisen animals and therefore intoxicating ourselves too.furthermor, some of these toxic material are release into the air and could destroy the ozon layer that protects us from the harmfull sun rays.this is going to bring about an alteration of our ecosystem because many other plants and animals are going to develop new illnesses and die.

    The author mentions one study done with chimpanzees, where the animals watched some videos with other chimpanzees in different situations. The animals showed emotions and brain activity accordingly with the emotions displayed in the video.

    The topic of the reading passage discusses special abilities of people to handle problems which require understanding of space, and those abilities are termed as visual-spatial intelligence. The lecture relates to the text by adding information about specific field – the game of chess as an example of area which expects having these abilities.
    In the lecture, the professor mentioned that, an important skill which chess players are supposed to have is being able to predict moves before they are made. According to him this requires having a good sense of visual imagination. This is similar to what is written in the text that visual-spatial intelligence includes the ability to create mental pictures of objects and to transform these images in a mind.
    Moreover, the professor gave example of a particular type of chess – blindfolded chess in which one plays against several others without seeing the chessboard. A blindfolded player is only informed about positions of chess pieces by someone another announcing his or her opponents’ moves. The professor implied that playing against different opponents at the same time without directly seeing the chessboards, calls for strong visual memory. This proves the point in the reading that visual-spatial intelligence involves having a good visual memory.
    Finally, the lecture claims that, a chess player actually does not call to his or her mind all picture as a whole, as it is in its real form, instead he or she remembers reasons, strategies for specific movements to draw previous positions in his/her mind. This supports the idea in the reading material that visual-spatial memory involves a memory that is abstract rather than pictorial.

    The author emphasizes how technology helps students to boosts academic achievements and how teachers are unprepared to use technologies. Likewise the speaker gives examples to strengthen the author’s point.
    The author describes that technology at school is beneficial because addresses different learning styles. It can also expand boundaries between students of different parts of the world. The author also points out that a low percentage of teachers use technologies at regular basis. Teachers have to receive proper training, according to the author, to feel comfortable using technology at classrooms. The author explains about a study which it showed students who were exposed to technologies at school had a higher math score compared with students who did not use technology at classroom.
    The speaker strengthens the points made by the author also saying that teachers are not well prepared to use technology and moreover students presented a better testing score when compared with students who technology was not part of their classes.
    According to the speaker surveys showed: 96% of technology training for teachers at school were in basic skills, which they had already. Moreover 78% of the interviewed teachers said that the training was too brief, totaling 5 hours.
    The speaker also mentions about a 2 year study at a particular school district: where teachers had 200 hours of training and staff support to help with questions about the technology used. Computers were used in all classes. Those students had a higher test score when compared with students who was not exposed to technology at classroom.

    Be careful that you do not write too many sentences that are fewer than 12 words because that results in a simplistic type sentence structure. Of course, making a point is the most important aspect of writing, but during TOEFL writing, it is good to make a great point using advanced grammar structures (longer combined sentences). The shorter sentence should be limited to making a point with a lot of emphasis. Of course, you cannot emphasize everything, which is why you should not always use shorter sentences.

    When reading academic passages, you will notice that writers use a combination of longer and shorter sentences to make their points.

    I took writing lesson 2. and have a Q. Does the length of the sentances really count, as compared to making a point, creating the detail to the supportive ideas – ex. in the development paragraphs?
    (I watched the example of “a good essey” with 6 point brief)
    Is academic writing in TOEFL more focused on showing your views and ideas than grammar?
    I do not know if my problem did sound clear.
