Online TOEFL Course
Salaam’s journey to find an Online TOEFL Course was fascinating. There were several steps that he undertook before finally landing on the page of “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT.”
First, Salaam Googled the words “TOEFL lessons” and found millions of possible web sites, but most of the them had free lesson materials but only talked generally about the TOEFL iBT. With a smattering of ads on the left and right sides of the web pages, these web sites seemed most interested in getting a user to click on an ad rather than help him/her pass the TOEFL iBT. “What a waste of time,” thought Salaam, “I need to find an Online TOEFL course to help me realize my goals.”
Second, Salaam Googled the word “TOEFL,” but the results for this search were even more frustrating, this time displaying 37,000,000 web sites. Like before, most web sites simply gave general information about the TOEFL exam but did not offer any meaningful plan to help him realize his TOEFL goals. “Heck, does anyone, anywhere teach TOEFL iBT Online?” thought Salaam. A sense of urgency was now upon him, for he desperately needed to find a course so he could begin preparing for his upcoming TOEFL exam next month.
Third, Salaam Googled “Online TOEFL Course” to see what results would come up. Surprising, his search results were more narrow, and, to the left of his Google search results, he saw several advertisements, but it was confusing. Most of the ads he saw were advertising GMAT and GRE preparation course. Furthermore, other ads showed him undergraduate and graduate programs in business, TESOL, education, and a plethora of other specializations. “These are not TOEFL courses,” thought Salaam. “Why doesn’t Google show me TOEFL courses? That is what I am searching for.”
Finally, Salaam was just about to give up when he scrolled down to the bottom of the web page and found an Online TOEFL Course called “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT.” Eagerly, he clicked on the link, which took him to a web page advertising the course. From, what he could tell, the course consisted of 630 vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, listening, reading, writing, and speaking lessons. Also, after completing pronunciation, speaking, and writing practice tests, he could have them scored by TOEFL iBT pronunciation, speaking, and writing specialists in about 24 hours of having completed them. He also liked the idea that his lessons were all video and pdf files and that he did not have to meet with his TOEFL iBT instructor face to face since he had such an erratic schedule.
And that was about all he needed to know, so he joined the course after contacting Michael Buckhoff founder, owner, and materials writer for his new course.
