Michael Buckhoff’s “7 Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT
Exam!” “Give me a power-packed TOEFL lesson!”
If your car has problems starting or you hear strange noises coming from the engine, what do you do? Hopefully, you will take your car to a mechanic to get a diagnostic run on the engine to determine why it is malfunctioning. Then, the mechanic figures out the problem and gives you an estimate of how much it will cost. And, of course, that is the part we hate the most, isn’t it?
Like getting a diagnostic run on your car, recently a visitor at Better TOEFL Scores took a TOEFL speaking and writing lesson 1) to learn how to organize TOEFL speaking and writing tasks and 2) to make a practice speaking and writing response so that I could give him a practice test score in both the speaking and writing sections of the TOEFL iBT. In other words, he wanted me to diagnose his TOEFL speaking and writing deficiencies.
After his speaking response, I gave him a score of 3.0/4.0 and made some recommendations of what he could do to score higher. Likewise, after he took a practice writing test from one of my writing video lessons, I scored him 3.0/5.0 and gave him some additional suggestions of how to improve his score. Remarkably with just a little guidance, he was able to score much higher on the TOEFL iBT than before.
In conclusion, what problems do you need to solve in the speaking and writing sections of the TOEFL iBT and how do you plan on solving them?
