Online TOEFL Course

Turkish native Cahit from Ankara, Turkey was recommended the Online TOEFL Course “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT” by his close friend and former STEALTH student Dursun. Having reached English fluency with Michael Buckhoff’s course, Dursun passed the TOEFL with a 96 with (R24, L22, S26, and W24). Knowing the 7 Step System has comprehensive lesson plans to help anyone improve their English proficiency with firsthand experience, Dursun recommended this course to his friend Cahit to help him improve his reading and writing skills. Cahit originally scored an 88 with (R22, L22, S24, and W20) on the TOEFL and hoped to improve his reading and writing skills with Michael’s course, which he did.

In the reading section of “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT,” Cahit read academic passages, and he engaged in an extensive reading campaign in which he regularly read for about 45 minutes daily and continued to regularly read each day until he read from a computer screen at a speed of 335 words per minute with 80% comprehension. In addition, Cahit learned how to take notes of these passages so he would be able to create organized responses during integrated writing and speaking tasks. Moreover with the reading section, Cahit completed many speed reading practice tests and learned important strategies: effective reading habits, discerning main ideas and details, understanding vocabulary from context, understanding the organization of reading passages including transitions, and having the ability to make inferences. All in all with the reading section, Cahit built his reading proficiency in English and described how excited he was to tackle the writing section to improve his academic writing skills like he did for his reading.

In the writing section of “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT,” Cahit had exclusive access to college level editing, grammar, and writing. Practicing identifying main ideas such as pausing and taking notes when reading an article and afterwards summarizing what he read, Cahit began to improve identifying main ideas. Secondly, he read articles with a bias/fairness view in order to understand articles of opposing ideas in which after he connected the two different articles to see how the ideas relate. Thirdly, Cahit improved his writing by writing longer more complex sentences by adding transitions and other connectives such as because, thus, hence, for instance, such as, in contrast, in conclusion, to sum up, all in all, and in the end when responding to integrated and independent writing practice tests. Moreover with the writing section, Cahit completed 40 independent and 43 integrated practice tests plus 100′s of skill-building exercises, which really improved his writing proficiency. All in all with the writing section, Cahit learned basic and advanced sentence structures and gained competence in independent and integrated writing skills: decoding the writing task, organizing a coherent response, writing detailed developmental paragraphs, and ending the essay with a conclusion.

With this in mind, Turkish native Cahit reached English proficiency with Michael Buckhoff’s Online TOEFL Course “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT.” Posting his new TOEFL score on Michael’s website, Cahit’s scores were listed as a 102 with (R25, L26, S27, W24).
